How can your gift help?

We believe families are the best advocates for their children. To do that job in the best way possible, families need support. Parent support is not about one thing, it’s about meeting the full range of needs families have at all ages and stages of a child’s development. This means a 360 degree circle of support that addresses questions on education, health services, family relationships, parenting skills, and more in culturally appropriate ways.

Comprehensive family support is what Raising Special Kids has been providing for the past 30 years. This can mean listening to a parent who just learned their child has a significant and life-long disability. It can mean being available, all year long, to offer one-on-one consultation and parent mentoring. It can mean providing parents with resources, training, and information to communicate effectively with professionals and make important decisions that affect the health and education of their child.

In the words of a parent, here’s what Raising Special Kids means:
“We’re glad your Parent to Parent program is here for us. I have been looking for over a year to find a parent to talk to about my son, and Raising Special Kids found a perfect match in one day! I wish I had found you sooner, but now that I have, you have to stay around for 30 more years! Your services came at the perfect time for our family and were the best thing that has happened for us!”

Raising Special Kids is committed to maintaining the full circle of support for families raising a child with a disability. We need your support to continue providing high-quality parent programs and information for the next 30 years.

Your support helps more parents become connected within our network of hope and encouragement.  “Families helping families”  is the way we create a more humane and caring community. If you are able to give a gift now, your generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you for supporting the work of Raising Special Kids.

Sincerely,
